Power Systems & Fuel Storage Solutions

As digitalization accelerates across Southeast Asia, data centers, serving as the backbone of the digital economy require highly reliable and efficient energy systems. These facilities must support the simultaneous operation of millions of servers and ensure seamless transition to backup power within milliseconds in the event of grid failure, preventing data loss and operational disruption.

Fuel systems must also be robust, with the capacity to store tens of thousands of liters of diesel to sustain continuous generator operation for over 72 hours. At the same time, they must address key challenges such as fuel contamination, pipeline losses, and safety risks.

Project Highlights:

1. Customized Power Solution – Indonesia Data Center
3Tech delivered a tailored energy solution featuring:

l 4 × 2500kVA and 1 × 600kVA LionRock diesel generator sets

l 2 × 20,000L double-layer SF ground fuel tanks

l A fully integrated fuel delivery system

The four 2500kVA generators serve as the primary power supply, while the 600kVA unit acts as an emergency backup the final safeguard for critical operations. In the event of a grid outage, the system automatically activates to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

The dual-layer fuel tanks, combined with an intelligent fuel distribution network, establish a three-tier fuel assurance system: main storage, daily usage, and emergency reserve—ensuring maximum reliability and operational continuity.

2. Integrated “Intelligent Power + Safe Fuel” Solution
This dual-system approach has also been successfully deployed for other leading data center operators in the region, including:

l 1 × 2250kVA, 2 × 2500kVA, and 1 × 3000kVA LionRock open-type generator sets

l 3 × 56,000L main fuel storage tanks

l 4 × 1,000L day tanks

This configuration supports high-load operations while ensuring over 72 hours of continuous runtime at full capacity. The day tanks function as buffers, enabling reliable generator start-up and stable fuel supply.
